I will be performing Four Quartets for the End of Time with Steve Pestana on April 21, 2018 at the Rubin Museum in New York. You can find us near the cafe and theater, towards the beginning of FLUX BUDDHA’s programming.
Open mind gently. Avoid familiar thought patterns: These are the cautionary instructions for FluxBuddha, a provocative new interdisciplinary performance art experience happening at the Rubin Museum on Saturday April 21st from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
Conceived by Christopher “Doc” Kelley, FluxBuddha celebrates the creative connection between American Buddhism and the New York avant-garde movement which includes artists like John Cage and Yoko Ono.
FluxBuddha will feature spiritually infused installations and performances by a wide variety of artists and musicians including: Neel Murgai (Brooklyn Raga Massive), Jesse Jarnow (WFMU), Steven Pestana, Sophia Sobers, Bonita Oliver (French Leave), Julie Brown, Jascha Hoffman (Sounding NYC), Amy Carrigan, Matt Ruby (Comedy Cellar), Hannes Bend (ThoughtWorks), Michael Prettyman, Nicole Pierce (EgoArt), Lisa Levine (Maha Rose), Matthew Silver, Teddy Gage, Dylan Smith (Think Olio), Rob Haggerty, Lola Star, Maneesh Raj Madahar, Curtis Tamm, Omar Zubair and more.
FluxBuddha is part of the Rubin’s Brainwave Festival and will also include a panel discussion with neuroscientist David Eagleman.
